Title: The Birds. Author: Daphne du Maurier Published by: Pearson Education Limited Kind of book: Thriller Pages: This book has 39 pages Main character: Nat Hocken Character description: Nat is married and father of two children, Johnny (boy) and Jill (girl). He knows a lot about birds and the nature. The story has taken place in England, in a town close to London I think the story is take place around 1952, because then is the book published and everything is very old Summary: There was a family, Nat, his wife and two children that lives in South-England. On a day of December Nat was sitting on the beach watching the birds. When he look up to the sky he saw thousand and thousand of gulls and other birds. He was a little bit afraid. When he was turn home he was attacked by the birds. When he listen to the radio he heard that he was not the only one who was attack by the birds. He put wood on the windows, so they can’t come in. He knew the birds come and go with the sea. So he has time to go out and take wood and food. He goes to the house of the family Trigg, they ware all dead. He go to home and he knew the birds can’t come in. This was my summary, it has a open end. This is what i think about the book: I didn’t like the book, because The Birds is a very old story and I don’t like old stories. The book was also not very exciting, a little bit boring. And it has a open end, I don’t like that very much. Extra information about Daphne du Maurier Daphne du Marier was born in 1907 in London. She did not go to school but had lessons at home.
