1 B:

Find pictures of people who, according to you, should play the leading role in ‘The Undertaker’s Gone Bananas’.

This girl could play Laurie, because she is also thin and has brown long hair. I think she’s a really good actress and if there was coming a movie, she should definitely play in it! She plays a good girl and she is perfect to play Lauri.

This creepy guy should definitely play Mr Hulka, because the book says that he has scary eyes and so does this man. He plays in a view series I also watch and he is always the bad guy. I don’t think he can play a good guy because he looks frightening and evil! He could be the role model for murderers, because of his looks!

This guy should play Bobby, because he is also tall with brown hair and a sweet guy. He plays in a series I used to watch and he plays a good guy. He really has the face of a good guy and is fit for playing Bobby, because Bobby’s also sweet, considering everything he does for Lauri!

I think this woman should play Mrs Hulka, because the book says that she has blond hair that looks kinda fake and so does her hair. And she also looks a little like a rich woman who let’s people notice that she has a lot of money. But maybe that’s just because I know her like that kind of a woman. But she’s perfect for the role of Mrs Hulka! She also doesn’t look anything like the wife of an undertaker and so didn’t Mrs Hulka. She looks more like the Shopping Lady of the year!

Make up 5 alternative titles for ‘The Undertaker’s Gone Bananas’.

1. What happened to Mrs Hulka?

2. Why doesn’t anyone believe me?

3. My neighbour the undertaker.

4. The people next door.

5. Apartment 24G…

Bobbie got new neighbours, Mr and Mrs Hulka, they moved in Apartment 24G. Mr Hulka is an undertaker and Bobby overhears him fighting with his wife and then he sees Mr Hulka strangling a blond woman, probably his wife. Later he doesn’t see her anymore. But the police don’t believe him and his friend Lauri, because they couldn’t find a body. But Bobby and Lauri follow Mr Hulka everywhere he goes and finally they see him walking away and they go in his apartment. Where Bobby and Lauri find a body that looks like Mrs Hulka, but isn’t. When Lauri opens a closet she sees Mrs Hulka’s head stuck in a television screen!

3 A:

Which 5 questions would you ask to the author of the book if you would meet him?

1. Is it a true story?

2. How did you come up with the story?

3. What would you do if it would happen to you?

4. Would you want to look like one of the characters?

5. How long did it take you to write this book?

I would ask him this questions, because I’m really curious. I liked the story and wondered how someone could think of something? Then I realised that it could’ve been a true story, which I doubt. Because some people are insane, but if they are that insane? I don’t know about that, but maybe it is just the crazy English people!

I also wondered what people that aren’t made up, would do if this happened to them. Maybe he wrote out of own experience or not. But I wonder what he would do to cope the situation!

He could have described a few characters like himself or someone he knew. I would like to know that. And the last question, because it took me a pretty long time to read the book. And I’m not used to that, because I read pretty fast , even English books I read faster than I did this one! But it could have also been because I thought it was kinda boring in the beginning.

4; Own Opinion:

In the beginning I didn’t like the book, because you learned a lot about the characters and about their past. Then there were al speculations and problems and that was really boring! But in the last twenty pages there finally came some action and excitement!

I did think it was a little exaggerated, because they both noticed a few thinks that you would normally overlook. And Lauri was thinking that Bobby made it all up just for her. And that he was helping her with her agony for death. It all happened when his parents were away and the police didn’t believe them. I do think that’s all a little far-fetched!

But everything considering, it was an average book. Maybe next time I will take another one by Paul Zindel!
