Explanation of the title:

The title is ‘My uncle Oswald’, because it’s a story about Oswald and Oswald is the uncle of the person that’s telling us the story of Oswald.

Genre:

The book is invented, it’s a phantasy story.

Short description of the main characters:

The main character is Oswald Hendryks Cornelius, he loves money, women and sex. He’s very clever, but he abuses other people to become better himself. Oswald is also a hustler.

Plot:

The story is about Oswald, he discovered the electrifying properties of the Sudanese Blister Beetle. He sold the Blister Beetle’s powder to men that wanted to do their wives a pleasure. Oswald met Arthur Worseley, he discovered how to keep sperm alive for a long time. Oswald got an idea: they collected, with help from the sexy girl Yasmin, sperm of famous men and they wanted to sell that sperm to women to fertilize them. Yasmin had an appointment with that famous man and she gave him a chocolate with the Blister Beetle’s powder in it and before that man could touch her, Yasmin put a condom on him to catch the sperm. They kept all the sperm at one place, called Semen’s Home. But Yasmin and Arthur deceived Oswald and they ran away with the sperm. Oswald started a Blister Beetle factory in Sudan and he still became rich.

Narrative structure:

It’s chronological written and in the past. The book is also written in the I-point of view.

Theme:

I think the theme of this book is sex.

Opinion:

I like this book very much. It’s written really funny. There’re many jokes and funny pieces in the book. I like all Roald Dahl’s books but this one is great.
