Boy is a biografy by Roald Dahl. Roald Dahl was born in 1916. He had four sisters and one brother.

He lived in Llandlaff and when Roald was two years old they moved to Cardiff. When he was three his sister Astri died and after that his father died. After the death of his father they moved again, to a smaller home close to Llandaff.

When he was six he went to a kindergarten, it was called Elmtree House. In 1923 when he was seven he had to go a Preparatory School for boys, the Llandlaff Cathedral School.

Roald and his friends were not the sweetest kids. On the way to school there was a sweetshop which belonged to an old, ugly and impolite lady. Roald and two friends decided to learn her a lesson and they got the idea to put a rat in one of the candycups. The next day on school they saw the old lady talking with the headmaster of the school. He punished them for this.

When he was nine he went to an other Preparatory School for boys. It was a very severe school.

After this school he went to a Public school in Repton. He was thirteen at the time. He had a great period at this school.

When he was 20 he wouldn’t go to the university. He wanted to work in China or Africa. In 1933 he worked at the Shell Company. And in 1939 he went to East Africa.
